A living landscape, thanks to those who live in it, respect it, and love it

Founded in 1988, the Associazione Alpe Giumello came to life with the aim of revitalizing the area after the failure of the former AGIS lift company. Since its inception, the association has been constantly committed to enhancing and promoting the Alpe, thanks to the dedication and vision of its founders and tireless driving forces such as Denti Antonio, Denti Amedeo, Denti Agostino, Casolino Davide, Spazzadeschi Flavio, and Tagliaferri Paolo.

Key historical milestones:

  • 1988: Founding of the association, which took over from the troubled AGIS company and overcame its difficulties, relaunching tourism and sports activities on Alpe Giumello.
  • 1991: Creation of the celebrated “Monte Muggio Loop Trail” (Anello del Monte Muggio), a route loved by trekking enthusiasts.
  • 1995: Restoration of the old cattle shelter and construction of a new building for the rental and garage of the snowcat (piste groomer).
  • 1999: Inauguration of the illuminated beginner/kids’ slope, enabling night skiing for the first time—especially appreciated by families and children.
  • 2009: Opening of the new ski lift, which allowed significant upgrades to the slopes and the installation of the modern “Adele” magic carpet (conveyor belt), improving the skiing experience for both beginners and advanced skiers.
  • 2020: Purchase of an advanced winch-equipped snow groomer, a strategic investment that ensured a safe ski season for over 200 young athletes from local ski clubs.
  • 2024: Opening of the tubing slope, designed with an innovative vision to respond to climate change and extend the tourist offer beyond the winter season.
